Tryllian’s Agent Development Kit (ADK) enables developers to use intelligent mobile agents, distributed applications to build and deploy. Unlike conventional applications, the programs run on one computer or on a server, mobile agents traveling programs that can perform their tasks on different machines depending on the problem being solved.
The ADK enables developers to communicate with the agent software components that are not necessarily controlled agent world, such as databases, search engines, mail systems, Web servers and J2EE applications. This is a mobile component-based development platform that allows Java Developers to easily build, deploy and manage secure, large-scale distributed solutions that operate regardless of location, environment or protocol. This enables businesses to respond dynamically to complex challenges, building reliable and scalable industrial-strength applications.
The ADK has been Open Source since 2005 (see also www.tryllian.org )
The ADK features remote management across platforms, rapid customization and flexibility to react to fast changing business needs by automating business processes.
Recursion is one of the companies which provides middleware for developing intelligent applications using mobile agent technology and other complementary software solutions that offer leading edge capabilities in interoperability and communication for today’s and the future’s computing environments.
The advancement in this technology is immense that Mobile Agent Technologies has introduced software technology that enables computers to think, called Common Sense Reasoning. The technology simulates human cognitive processes, such as intuition and gut feelings, on a computer.
